Overview
Conceived as a serene sanctuary amidst the urban intensity of Downtown Los Angeles, this hybrid gallery and reading room explores spatial fluidity under a long-span truss system. The structural framework liberates the interior floor plate, achieving maximum visual continuity and seamless circulation within a compact footprint. While the solid exterior wall shields against city noise, skylights and a linear central atrium channel natural light and ventilation deep into the space, creating a calm, atmospheric haven governed by light and shadow.
