Situated in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles, this high-rise mass timber proposal introduces an architectural landmark amidst a heterogeneous urban fabric. Addressing dense site constraints, the design bifurcates core functions: conventional efficient floor plates are utilized for primary workspaces, while dynamic sky-lounges feature exposed diagonal timber trusses. This structural expression creates an inviting "timber forest" narrative, generating intricate light and shadow patterns while celebrating sustainable tectonics.
